Mark Maloney

Having first competed in rallies in the 1990s, Mark soon spread his wings to encompass circuit racing, initially in karts. He won his first gearbox karting title in 2001, the same year he finished third in the International All-Stage Rally in a Nissan Pulsar, then another in 2007. He has campaigned and developed his Mazda RX-3 since its 2003 debut, winning more than 20 races at Old Bushy Park (Group 3C Champion in 2006), while regularly travelling the region to race. From his opening Caribbean Motor Racing Championship campaign in 2008, the year Barbados joined the list of host countries, he missed only a handful of CMRC race meets, a record no-one can match. His Radical record is also impressive, with more pole positions, podium finishes and fastest laps than anyone else, although he is yet to win an SR3 title.
