Bio:
A regular winner since joining the Barbados Association of Dragsters & Drifters (BADD) in 2013, ‘Sol’ holds the 4wd record in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX for the quarter-mile (9.788s/139.41mph in 2014) at Thicketts, St Philip and is a past record-holder on the one-eighth mile strip at Bushy Park. After some karting experience, he switched to circuit racing in January 2016, arriving in style with pole position (a Qualifying Lap Record at the time), race win and fastest lap on his debut. He soon become a front-runner, boasting one of the highest win rates in the SR3 Cup and now with four Championship titles to his name. Initially inspired by his uncle Yusuf, who was involved in motor sport in the 1980s & ‘90s, ‘Sol’ has now added rallying to his cv, last year with a BMW M3, which will be replaced by a Ford Fiesta R5 in 2020.
