Esuf and Gale win Suzuki Challenge Series titles
In a dramatic finale to the Suzuki Challenge Series during the Barbados Festival of Speed at Bushy Park on Saturday (October 14), Sol Esuf withstood huge pressure from Stuart Maloney in the double-points final to win back-to-back SR3 Cup titles. Despite finishing only third and fourth in the last two races, Barry Gale had done enough to lift the Swift Cup crown, as the Suzuki regulars raced under the new all-arena lighting for the first time and under the watchful eye of former F1 World Champion Jenson Button. With thunderstorms beating across the island and a flood warning in place, even...

Double points under lights for Suzuki Challenge Series
The 2017 Suzuki Challenge Series Champions will be crowned at Bushy Park Barbados on Saturday (October 14) . . . but not until the final chequered flag has fallen. Drivers in both the SR3 Cup and Swift Cup will earn double points in the season's last encounter, meaning no-one can achieve an unassailable lead in the first of the day's two races. To add to the pressure, the finale will be played out, for the first time, under the facility's new all-arena lighting and the grid will be based on qualifying times reversed. The fourth and final rounds of the Suzuki Challenge Series top the roster of...

Maloney and Jeffrey break Bushy Park Barbados lap records
Mark Maloney broke the Outright Lap Record for Bushy Park Barbados on Sunday (September 2) during round three of the Suzuki Challenge Series at the Williams Industries International Race Meet, just one day after Guyana's Kristian Jeffrey had set a new Qualifying Record. Both records were previously held by ‘Sol'; Esuf, who nevertheless extended his lead in the SR3 Cup standings with two wins. In the Swift Cup, points-leader Barry Gale and his closest challenger, Trinidad & Tobago's Ryan Peyrau, each scored 48 points, so Gale's four-point lead remained intact, while Justin Campbell claimed...

Reigning SR3 Cup Winter Champion Kristian Jeffrey will return to the Suzuki Challenge Series at Bushy Park Barbados next weekend (September 2/3) at the Williams Industries International Race Meet. The 28-year-old Guyanese driver is squeezing an 8,000-mile trans-Atlantic round trip in between rounds five and six of the UK Radical Challenge Championship, which he has been contesting to broaden his racing experience. Winner of four races on his way to the Winter Cup title at the Radical Carnival in January, he has missed the first two rounds of the 2017 SCS while racing in Europe; SR3 Cup points...

Two wins each for Gale and Maloney in Suzuki Challenge Series
Barry Gale and Stuart Maloney were the big winners in the second round of the Suzuki Challenge Series at Bushy Park Barbados on Saturday (July 1), each claiming two victories, as regular rain showers throughout the afternoon created challenging track conditions. Gale is the new leader of the Swift Cup, while Maloney has reduced Suleman Esuf's SR3 Cup lead to just eight points. As Bushy Park Motorsports Inc (BPMSI) planned an action-packed six-hour programme, Practice and Qualifying – usually two separate sessions – were combined into one 20-minute period for each category, with the clocks...

Strong UK results prepare Stuart Maloney for SR3 Cup return
Nine-time SR3 Cup race-winner Stuart Maloney heads into round two of the third Suzuki Challenge Series at Bushy Park Barbados on Saturday (July 1) off the back of a string of impressive results in the UK Radical Challenge Championship. Two third places were the highlights of a six-race programme that saw him finish outside the top 10 only once over back-to-back weekends of racing at Silverstone and Rockingham. Maloney was joined by his brother Mark and Guyana's Kristian Jeffrey, who won the SR3 Winter Cup at Bushy Park in January and is contesting the whole UK series and selected other...

Esuf and Wood win Suzuki Challenge Series titles
Sol Esuf and Ryan Wood were crowned Champions of the SR3 Cup and Swift Cup respectively when the second Suzuki Challenge Series drew to a close during Radical International (January 28/29) at Bushy Park Barbados. Each driver had won his Summer Series title by a sufficient margin to claim the overall crown, despite failing to prevail in last weekend's Winter Cup. On his return to the series for the first time since last Easter, Trinidad & Tobago's Ryan Peyrau (Team Simpson Finance) became the first driver to win three Swift Cup races in one day with a dominant performance on Saturday,...
